Sankore’ Collegiate is a proposed innovative STEAM skill-focused International Baccalaureate Career Diploma charter school that will serve students in grades 6-12 in West End Atlanta. Sankore’ means “noble community of knowledge”, and is reflective of the environment we seek to create. The mission of Sankore’ Collegiate is to empower young Atlantans to become global citizens ready to lead confidently and engage compassionately with the world around them. Through rigorous study, service-learning, real-world experiences and the Freedom School culture, Sankore’ students will be prepared to think deeply, respond justly, contribute substantially, and lead lives of their choosing with full access to both the city in which they graduate and the world in which they will lead. Our vision is that every Sankore’ graduate will leave us prepared to access, engage, and change their world; responding to challenges with a sense of leadership such that they “lift as they climb."
Our goal is to create a network of high-performing, high preparatory schools that will be the resurgence of Atlanta's next generation.
